LGBTQIA+ Affirming, Neuroaffirming Clinical Psychologist in Sydney

Dan Macdonald smiling, sitting in an armchair in his therapy room, with bookshelves behind him.

Hi, I’m Dan.

I’m a Sydney Clinical Psychologist offering affirming, evidence-based therapy for adults and couples, plus assessments for autism, AuDHD and learning differences.

Lavender Psychology is proudly LGBTQIA+ and neuroaffirming. You can come as you are, and we’ll work at a pace that suits you.

Assessments

Ages 12+

Neuroaffirming assessments that focus on understanding how you work, not on what’s “wrong” with you.

What happens next

No pressure and no surprises. Here’s exactly how getting started works.

  1. Send an enquiry

Share as much or as little as you like by form, phone or email. It’s not a booking.

  2. We talk about fit

You’ll hear back about whether this is the right support, plus fees and availability, including the waitlist if it’s needed.

  3. Your first session

In Sydney CBD or via Telehealth, at a pace that suits you.

Start with a hello.

Join the waitlist for therapy, or ask a question about anything else. Neither books you in. It just starts the conversation. Prefer to call or email? That works too.

A little about you

So I know who I’m writing back to.

The therapy you’re after

Choose what fits best for now. It’s fine to change your mind later.

What kind of therapy?
How would you like to attend?(optional)

When suits you

Choose as many as work. The more you can do, the sooner a spot tends to come up.

What you’re looking for

A few words is plenty. There’s no need to share anything detailed or sensitive yet.

Joining the waitlist doesn’t guarantee an appointment or start a psychologist–client relationship, and it isn’t monitored for urgent support. I’ll be in touch when a suitable appointment comes up.

Your question

A few lines is plenty. There’s no need to share anything sensitive yet.
